Scale360° is a World Economic Forum global public-private partnership, launched in 2020, that accelerates the circular economy through bottom-up innovation. Built around the Circular Innovation Playbook — a design-thinking methodology offering 26 interventions, from policy working groups to start-up accelerators — the programme activated 21 city hubs and eight national programmes across locations including Cebu, Puebla, Kochi and Jacksonville, engaging 70+ partners and reaching over 100,000 people in its first three years.
Wicked Acceleration Labs contributed to the programme’s methodological foundations — co-founder Mike Pinder helped develop the Playbook — and led research monitoring how it performed across regions and institutional contexts. Using a design science approach, the team identified key levers for accelerating circular economies, including actionable shared visions, supportive regulation and stakeholder alignment, feeding these insights back to regional teams. With Imperial College London assuming the secretariat, Wicked Labs is extending the platform toward “System360°”, broadening its scope from circular economy projects to wider sustainability and SDG-aligned systemic transformation.
