The 2026 Wicked Chile Bootcamp.

Part of Imperial Business School’s MBA Global Experience Week, places students in Chile’s Valparaíso region to tackle real “wicked problems” set by local clients including municipal governments, a port authority, an industrial association, and the marine-conservation NGO Capital Azul.

Working in cross-cohort teams of Full-Time and Weekend MBA students, around a dozen groups applied frameworks from the Wicked Problems, Systems Dynamics, and Entrepreneurial Innovation module to live briefs. These briefs spanned post-disaster reconstruction, marine reserve financing, industrial futures, heritage funiculars, and waterfront redevelopment. Students delivered financial models, prototypes, and implementation roadmaps in timed presentations judged directly by their sponsors.

Students learn to manage ambiguity, test ideas, delay judgement, and design solutions that respect the values and realities of the communities they serve, clarifying the MBA’s value in building the durable skill of making useful decisions amid genuine uncertainty.
